Event Safety Overview:
Below is a list of how our monitors and safety staff operate and the spread of their professional and academic qualifications. We provide these to ensure transparency in the suitability of our processes and associated staff members who are responsible for event and community safety.
Safety Staff Role & Responsibilities:
Our safety staff, Dungeon & Event Monitors are responsible for the following activities within their role scope:

Active monitoring of all areas of the venue

Dedicated monitors for each section of the venue, where the sections are as follows:​

Ground Floor

Terrace

Enforcement of the event and venue rules and regulations​

This includes enforcement of the rules contained in the current ruleset. This includes, but is not limited to:

Enforcing dress-code and flagging of persons who do not meet dress code/refusal to meet dress code for removal from event and venue​

Ensuring attendees are responding to Safe Words/Traffic Light/similar systems of consent are adhered to
-
Regular visual inspection of individual rooms and enclosed areas

Refusing entry to 'play' areas where the attendee appears to be unable to give consent (intoxicated through alcohol, drugs, other substances or through acts of coercion or similar)

Active safety checks for attendees using venue equipment, BDSM equipment or furniture and halting scenes or interactions where the monitor believes there to be unsafe use of the equipment or furniture

Active safety checks for attendees utilising 'toys' and halting scenes or interactions where the monitor believes there to be unsafe use of 'toys', implements or accessories

Responding as a First Contact to incidents reported by attendees and staff​

Management of active incidents

This includes incidents where a rule or regulation has been breached and incidents where an attendee or staff member may need support, such as physical or mental health First Aid.​
