PHONE & MOBILE DEVICE USE
Phone use in Play areas:
-
We ask that attendees DO NOT use their phones, tablets or similar in the playrooms and dungeon.
-
This is to minimise the risk of attendees breaking the rules around recording video, audio and photography.
-
It also serves to help attendees feel more at ease - Phones being pointed or used in play areas can make attendees feel uneasy or unsure about whether they are being recorded or monitored.
-

-
The exception to this rule is use for accessibility reasons, which can include (but are not limited to):
-
Using a mobile device as a communication tool or aid
-
Using a mobile device to check an event rule via QR code
-
Using a mobile devices light function to check the expiry date on a condom or similar
-
Using a mobile device to display information where necessary to the attendee, such as an STI report or to non-verbally communicate information
-

-
If you are using your phone for accessibility reasons, please only use your phone when required and put it away when you are finished using it in a secure location.

-
If you’re not sure if something could be considered a reasonable adjustment for accessibility reasons, please contact Fiendish staff at an event or online
.
-
If you suspect an attendee of surreptitiously recording or breaking event photography/videography/recording rules, you must notify a member of event or venue staff as soon as possible.
Phone use in non-Play areas:
-
Attendees are permitted to use their mobile devices freely in non-play areas as long as they are also abiding by the photography rules.
